Ambre Botanicals

This winter, my skin has been the driest, ever. It has been a cold, cold winter and so the thermostat has been increased a notch, which I’m guessing is the root of the problem. Usually, even in this bitter season, I’ll leave a window open to allow fresh air to waft in but the fact that it’s been incredibly windy has deterred me. Otherwise, I’ll never hear the end of the wind howling.

I’ve had to boost up my skincare regime to combat the dryness and, thankfully, the skin saviours that are Ambre Botanicals, has helped keep my annoying winter skin supple.

I purchased these little wonders from my favourite online store The Future Kept, and although they are trial sizes, they’ve managed to last over a month. They’ve been great additions to my travel bag.

The miniatures set I brought contained:

  • Mango and Carrot Seed Extra Concentrated Hand Cream 15ml
  • Rosemary, Thyme and Mint Invigorating Herbal Bath Oil 15ml
  • Fifteen Fresh Oils Extra Nourishing Body Moisturiser 15ml
  • Cupuacu & Nut Oils Rich Moisturising Body Butter 15ml

The scents are earthy, woodsy and spicy, as you would expect from an all natural, plant-sourced line. But I adore them, they are reminiscent of being sat in a deeply-rooted forest the aromas invigorate the senses in the most magical way.

I love the balmy textures of the Mango and Carrot Seed hand cream and Capuacu Body Butter, they have a cream-like consistency but soak into the skin like oil. I haven’t had a chance to try out the bath oil in the actual bath, but I do sometimes put drops onto a tissue or hankie and keep by the bedside.

If you’ve read my blog, you’ll know I love to support small businesses and this is the very reason I drifted towards this brand. They are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, they are made in the UK using Eco packaging and they don’t use plastic bottles. The oils they use are cold-pressed with no nasties in them and the butters are all unrefined, I mean, can they inject any further goodness to their philosophy!

The products are now forever in my handbag and as much as I would love to purchase the larger versions of all of them some of the bottles are a vision, especially the Bath Oil  I’m going to stick to these miniatures as they are handy to carry around.

Have you used Ambre Botanicals? What did you think?
